I have been using a very good sugar scrub for a few years now and figured it was time to share. It’s so easy to make, affordable and raw.  This scrub will leave your skin glowing and soft!
Back in the days when I was having acne I used three products which always guaranteed me of great results.
These ingredients where citron, honey and olive oil! I use bastard sugar from the supermarket to mix these ingredients with. You can also opt for a saltscrub where you could use seasalt or epsom salt.
The three ingredients have good acne-preventing sores which I will there you more about in this article.

What the sugar scrub is used for

I use the scrub for my face only, but you can also use it for your body. The scrub exfoliates the body and should be used after taking a shower when the pores are open and the atmosphere is lukewarm. Preferably is to scrub in the morning because the skin repairs itself at night where dead skin cells leave the body.

Ingredients for the sugar scrub

STEP 1 OLIVE OIL

Use the olive oil after applying African Black Soap on your face to combat the dryness. Don’t forget to wash your face thoroughly after using the black soap.
I reccomend using Extra Virgin Olive oil. As this is a 100% organic oil. Read this article for more information.

  • Olive oil fades dark scars and marks
Moisturized skin is the key to preventing and treating scars and marks.
  • Olive oil is great for everyday use
Olive oil can be used every day! I recommend letting your skin breath in the nighttime.
  • Olive oil is rich in vitamins
Olive oil has many health benefits as it is rich in the vitamins A,D, E and K. This is great for people with acne as the oil doesn’t contain any harmful ingredients.
STEP 2 APPLY ONE TEAS SPOON OF CITRON

I have always veen told that citron is THE way to go for hyperpigmentation as it lightens dark areas of your skin. It is also enriched with vitamin C which is immensly good for your skin. Vitamin C protects your skin against sun exposure and brightens your complexion.  Adding vitamin C to your skin care routine can also protect against skin damage caused by sun exposure and harmful radicals.

  • Citron regulates oily skin
  • Citron fades acne scares
  • Citron gives you a glowy skin

Honey’s antibacterial properties is a  go-to for fighting acne. It’ll open your pores and get makes your skin hydrated all day.

Honey moisturises the skin deeply
Honey moisturizes the skin from deep within. The molecules present in honey enables it to easily dig into the skin while conditioning and softening it.

Honey lightens scars
Honey natuarally lightens the skin and makes it feel soft and healthy. It reduces any toxicity and helps the skin restore faster from impurities and damaged skin. You can use the honey without the scrub when you feel that the skin is too dry. Trust me that you will immediatly see great results when leaving the honey on your face for a long time.

Honey helps to Reduce wrinkles
Honey can help with improving the skin’s appearance, as it stops wrinkles and infections from forming.
This will keep the skin looking youthful.

How to store

The sugar scrub can be stored anywhere, preferably in the shower, use a glass jar to prevent water damage. Sugar easily disolves in water and humidity can cause the scrub to harden. But, it will get soft again when you set the scrub in a non-humid place.
